The Possibility of Ethan Bear as a Blackhawks Defenseman Just Increased
Written by our writers Daniel Tinker months ago:
While not the most likely idea, some intrigue is in the possibility of Ethan Bear signing in Chicago. With Erik Gustvafsson and Calvin de Haan possibly out the door, a defensive change up may be in order. Ethan Bear is a RFA, however he was a scratch for the playoffs. There's an outsider chance he dons another red, white, and black sweater come October.
News just broke that the Carolina Hurricanes gave permission to Ethan Bear to allow him to speak with other teams, due to the lack of ice team seen in a Carolina Hurricanes sweeter it's believed to be that Bear is looking for a destination that is in search for a defenseman and to be able to grow with one roster for multiple seasons, and not be bounced/traded around multiple times. If the Blackhawks needed someone with heart, the time is now.
