The Salming families' announcement early in 2022 of Borje's ALS diagnosis shattered Leafs nation and the NHL alike.
Mrs. Salming described just how invasive the awful disease had been and the state it left her husband in.
In a very tear enducing ceremony on Friday night, the Maple Leafs organizational and faithful serenaded Salming.
Salming and his family flew to Toronto from Salming's home country of Sweden, despite his fragile health to attend the ceremony.
Oliver Ekman-Larsson and William Nylander were seen saying something when they greeted Salming, possibly in their native tongue Swedish.
Class-act move by the fellow Swedes and the Leafs organization.
