As playoffs are upon us around this time of year, the intensity of the game of hockey is at a all time high throughout the NHL-meaning a lot more roughness and grittiness.
Last night, two fines were handed out.
1st:
Brad Marchand fined the max amount of $5,000 for this slash on Carolina Hurricanes rookie goaltender.
2nd:
Boston Bruins Derek Forbort fined the max amount of $5,000 for this high stick on a Caroline Hurricane.
