This could be bad for him and his contract extension chances.
This young Hawk is not injury prone whatsoever, but he just so happened to be hit by Capitals defenseman Tom Wilson in his second shift of the game, and never returned. His name is Philipp Kurashev. The Hawks are hoping it isn't a concussion or anything serious. He'll be evaluated in Chicago soon.
Philipp Kurashev is 23 years old, and he just so happens to wear the #23. He was a 4th round pick in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. Kurashev has 9 goals and 16 assists, adding up to 25 points in 70 games played. His contract is up at the end of the season. Philipp has been receiving a little bit of shade because he is part Russian, and the Chicago Blackhawks cancelled Pride Night for the concern of the new law Vladimir Putin is passing.
