The Chicago Blackhawks management group made a huge announcement on Monday. The team has given general manager Stan Bowman his walking papers and wasted no time in finding a replacement. Former Chicago Blackhawks head coach Mike Keenan will take on general manager duties effective immediately. Keenan most recently coached the HC Kunlun Red Star of the KHL, the KHL's first Chinese based team. He of course coached the Chicago Blackhawks from 1988-89 to 1991-92 and made the playoffs in all four years. NHL reporter April Foolington was the first to report the news and will have an exclusive interview later today.
