Well, it's really starting to sound like it's just a matter of time before Chicago Blackhawks forward Artem Anisimov is moved. Things really started to stir up yesterday when ESPN labelled Anisimov as the most likely to be moved from the Hawks' roster. Then earlier today, TSN's Bob McKenzie also labelled Anisimov as likely on his way out. Anisimov's playing time is shrinking and with the emergence of Dylan Strome, there's no need to have Anisimov around. The trade chatter is building up with The Atheltic's Pierre LeBrun reporting that both the Columbus Blue Jackets and Carolina Hurricanes have spoken to the Blackhawks regarding Anisimov. The Hawks' forward does carry a 10 team no trade list, so Anisimov does have some power. It's feasible that Anisimov could accept a move to Columbus where he previously enjoyed some success, the Blue Jackets could also use some depth at center. As the Hurricanes push for a playoff spot, they could definitely use the help up the middle however it's harder to imagine Anisimov accepting a trade to Carolina with their questionable ownership situation. Anisimov's contract runs through the 2020-21 season at a cap hit of $4.55million per season.
