In the absence of Connor Bedard, Jason Dickinson has stepped up his game significantly for the Blackhawks. As a result of his exceptional performance, he has been nominated for his first All-Star game.
Nick Foligno very clearly wants the Blackhawks to re-sign Jason Dickinson.
"He is really well respected in our room and a guy that carries a lot of weight with his words but also his play. I've just been really impressed with him." Mark Lazerus (@MarkLazerus) January 13, 2024
Not only has he earned the respect of his teammates in the locker room, but he has also received praise from Nick Foligno.
Foligno has complimented his level of play in recent weeks and expressed his respect for him. In addition, he has been lobbying in the media to extend the contract of the center.
Initially brought in as a grinder, Jason Dickinson has proven to be quite flexible and can play in any position in the lineup.
Nick Foligno brought up Jason Dickinson unprompted, lobbying for him to get extended too:
"You've seen the emergence of Jason Dickinson, who has been outstanding and a big, big part of this. [He's] a guy I want to go to war with a lot more, and hopefully will be able to." Ben Pope (@BenPopeCST) January 13, 2024
Jason Dickinson, according to DailyFaceoff.com will be slotting in as 2nd line Center tonight, with Colin Blackwell and Joey Anderson on the wings, as the team continues to fight for every game, with the next-man-up mentality in mind.
