It appears that Blackhawks defenseman Connor Murphy has sidelined Seattle Kraken's captain Jordan Eberle for at least three months after he had to undergo pelvis surgery.

The collision occurred along the boards where Eberle was chasing the puck into the offensive zone were both men went hard into the boards. It took Eberle several minutes to get off the ice and go down the tunnel as the extent of the damage became clear.

The 31-year-old defenseman has been logging well over 20 minutes a game and has become a trusted defenseman for head coach Luke Richardson.

Having been selected by the Phoenix Coyotes in 2011, first round 20th overall, Murphy spent Four Seasons with the Coyotes and then the remainder of his career from 2017 through 2024 has been with the Blackhawks.

He has played 20 games this season, it has managed 7 assists and is a + 3 with 21 penalty minutes.

The Blackhawks managed to pull off a victory against the reigning Stanley Cup champions the Florida Panthers by a score of 3-1.

The team was spiraling downward, and it appeared that there was no end insight to the misery.

Connor Bedard is looking to snap his goalless drought as he hasn't scored in almost a month since the Blackhawks played the Dallas Stars back on October 26.

With this win, the Blackhawks hope to start putting some wins together as the month of November ends. The team will give the chance to build off this win as they take on head coach John Tortorella and his Philadelphia Flyers as the Blackhawks are on the road.

The game will start at 1:00 PM eastern and many hope that players such as Connor Bedard and others will snap out of their scoring funk.
