Caleb William's Father Carl may have started controversy today, as he posted an article on X, reporting on a trade that sent Jon Gruden to Tampa Bay.

Did Carl's post suggest what fans could glean from the article? That Matt Eberflus, the unpopular Chicago Bears head coach could be moved in the future for a better option behind the bench?

The context behind Carl's tweet could be taken just as referential, considering other than die-hard Bears fans, not many people know of Caleb's dad's account on X,

Either way is this a foreshadowing of the future for the Bears?

Caleb Williams was the Bears 1st overall pick at the 2024 NFL Draft and finished his first year with the team. His record this year was a dismal 5-12-0 and he suffered 68 sacks this season.

Eberflus has been unpopular and like other Chicago sports teams, they haven't been able to find the winning combination behind the bench. With his inability to remain accountable to the organization, there may be changes on the way.

The timing of this feels interesting for two reasons. Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports reported recently that team president Kevin Warren is hoping to make a «splash» at head coach. The goal is to excite the fanbase and maybe give the new stadium project a push. Not long after that, Jay Glazer revealed that teams have been calling Minnesota about the availability of head coach Kevin O'Connell, who enters the last year of his contract in 2025. This would indicate there is movement of some kind on the trade market.

The Chicago Bears Swinging Big

The Bears and Blackhawks have similarities as GM Kyle Davidson of the Hawks has gone above and beyond to get help for his 1st overall pick in 2023, Connor Bedard.

Now, it looks as if President of the Chicago Bears Kevin Warren is eager to change up the coaching staff in order to turn the team around from a losing squad, to an improving team.

There wouldn't be a bigger splash to make for Chicago than trading for the next coach, be it O'Connell or somebody else. The Gruden trade involved two 1st round picks and two 2nd round picks.

The cost for a good coach might be substantial, but now that you have your top quarterback, you need someone who can keep the offensive live in order.

It reminds you of Joe Burrow's first few seasons in the NFL when the Bengals couldn't protect him correctly.
