Top Eastern Conference Team Interested in Blackhawks Legend

Well, on the show, Frank said that one team interested is the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Maple Leafs are in contention for a Stanley Cup but could definitely use a lot of help as they're battling with a lot of injuries, as well as their star players being on and off their injury reserve list.

Toronto, even with all the injuries, are still first in the Atlantic, second in the Eastern Conference, and fifth in the overall league. They're only three points off being the best team in the East, as they're three points behind the Washington Capitals.

Adding a guy like Jonathan Toews could add to the veteran leadership and just be overall a good depth piece to the third or fourth line and he can step up if someone goes down again.

Jonathan Toews hasn't played hockey since the 2022-23 season when he left because of a number of health issues. However, Toews has been posting on social media for a while and has been showing the progress he's made to get over his issues, and has apparently gained enough ground to where he feels he can come back.

Toews is largely touted as the best captain in Chicago Blackhawks history, and it's no surprise as he devoted everything to the team during his tenure.

Toews is a former Conn Smythe Trophy winner and posted 883 points (372 goals and 511 assists) in 1,067 games. He also is really good in the faceoff circle.

If you're Toronto, why not take a gamble? Especially since Toews isn't officially «retired,» it's low risk, high reward.
