Seth Jones has been a hot topic as of late, as he is lobbying through the media for a trade out of Chicago, his comments have been caught in the web of Brian Burke who feels that Jones isn't in a position to make demands.

Brian Burke was interviewed on "The Sheet" with Jeff Marek, which is a podcast founded by Marek.
Jones has been the topic of recent discussion, as he's stated he'd like to be moved to a contend to play for a Stanley Cup.
The original reason he left Columbus to play for Chicago in the first place. Now nearly four years out from the original exit from the Blue Jackets organization he's not any closer to tasting beer out of a Stanley Cup.
Now his comments have been caught in the sticky webs of the hockey media, and Brian Burke didn't hold back on his thoughts about the matter.
He felt Jones's poor play with the Blackhawks as of late left no one to blame for himself as he continues to struggle, along with the team.
"He's in no position to make to complain", says Burkie.

This season he's not wrong about Jones, as his production has taken a nosedive, amidst a foot injury that kept him out for a period of time.
Honestly, Burke's comments weren't exactly wrong about his performance of late.
He's only played 42 games for the Hawks this season scoring 27 points (7 G, 20 A), and hasn't played like the top-four performer we've seen during his time in Columbus.
Jones was once considered a Norris Trophy candidate before his exit from Columbus, and it's difficult to see when he'll have a shot at it again.
Burkie's comments echo a common criticism of Jones's entire stint in Chicago, he plays well enough but not competitive enough to drive the Hawks to be a better unit.
Until that happens, he'll have to go back to the drawing board and figure out his weaknesses at the moment, come back strong, and then ask for a trade from GM Kyle Davidson.
As of now, it seems his lobbying in the media isn't doing him any favors as a deal hasn't happened yet.
Will we see the $9.5 million dollar man traded soon?
