The Blackhawks have pulled off a huge free agency signing of Teuvo Teravainen
The Chicago Blackhawks have made a huge move by signing forward Teuvo Teravainen to a three-year deal worth $5.4 million per season.
Teravainen, who will turn 30 in September, is returning to Chicago after spending the last eight years with the Carolina Hurricanes.
Last season, Teravainen scored 53 points (25 goals, 28 assists) in 76 games. He's known for his ability to score and set up plays, with career totals of 415 points (138 goals, 277 assists) in 555 games with the Hurricanes.
This signing is a big deal for the Blackhawks, who are looking to add experienced players to their team to surround
Connor Bedard by skilled players.
Teravainen was originally drafted by Chicago in 2012 and was part of their 2015 Stanley Cup-winning team. His return brings excitement and familiarity to the team and fans.
The Blackhawks hope that Teravainen's skills and experience will help their younger players and lead to a strong performance in the coming seasons.
As the contract becomes official, Chicago fans are excited to see Teravainen back in a Blackhawks jersey.
