NHL head coach takes a jab at officiating
The Florida Panthers rank second in the NHL this season for penalties taken.
This puts pressure on the team, making it harder to win games, and can frustrate coaches like Paul Maurice.
During a recent media session, Maurice made a humorous remark about the team's penalty kill struggles, subtly jabbing at the officials.
"We're working on our kill for the last two games," said Maurice in jest. "We petitioned the league for a little more penalty kill time, they've been good about it."
This light-hearted approach with a joke allows him to express his frustration without causing controversy or receiving a fine from the NHL.
