The Boston Bruins beat the Chicago Blackhawks, 6-1.

Outplayed - It's not any question. We were outplayed. They couldn't get the puck into the offensive zone, and Mrazek was pressured almost all game long. Even with Caleb Jones scratched, the defense still struggles. It will be interesting to see if things change when Caleb's brother, Seth Jones, comes back. This was expected, however, Boston is the best team in the league.

Mrazek Played Great - The scorecard doesn't show it, but he didn't do bad at all. Out of 43 shots, he only let in six of them. Petr was also pressured almost all game long. They couldn't clear the puck, and the breakout was non-existent as well. Mrazek also had some highlight saves as well. He did an okay job for what he was given, and he didn't do terrible in my book.

The Only Goal - We really took our phrase "One Goal" seriously this game, didn't we? We only shot the puck 18 times. Yikes. They also couldn't generate a lot of time in the offensive zone. The goal was on the power play. Max Domi shot ripped one off a one timer, and was tipped off either Toews' or Raddysh' stick. The goal was awarded to Taylor Raddysh on NHL.com.

A Bad 2nd Period - The Boston Bruins exploded in the second period, scoring 3 goals and having a three-goal lead going into the third. The goals were scored by Patrice Bergeron, Jake DeBrusk, and David Krejci. It also didn't help that we had a couple of stupid mistakes that period, as well. Just a bad period and a bad game all around.

Veteran Experience: At the end of the day, the veteran experience from Boston hurt us. Ian Mitchell was playing his first NHL game, along with a bunch of new and young players. There was one play this game in the first period, where Charlie Coyle got the best of Filip Roos. The 11 years to 1 year got Roos this time. Roos didn't mean to hook Coyle, but the movement of Charlie made it look like, and made Filip hook him. The veterans always get the young players.
