6 Foot 7 Tage Thompson Feeds Uppercuts After His Teammate Gets Destroyed
24 Year old 6 foot 7 (7 feet tall on skates) forward Tage Thompson has been one of the Sabres best acquisitions in many years, the forward was acquired alongside two draft picks and two other players when the St.Louis Blues traded away Ryan O'Reilly.
Thompson has since had a breakout year tallying up 38 goals and 30 assists for a total of 68 points with the Sabres last year, earning him a brand new contract of $50 million dollars equaling out to $7.15 million a year. The St.Louis Blues are the clear loser of that trade.
Thompson alongside many other Sabres lineup regulars took place in their final preseason game against the Carolina Hurricanes, where Tage Thompson stood up for his teammates and fed uppercuts to a Carolina Hurricanes player.
Quite the risky move, a possible wrist injury could have came out of that but reports state Thompson is fine, i am sure Sabres fans were sweating watching that one.
