The Chicago Blackhawks magical run to the Stanley Cup almost didn't happen. After making short work of the Minnesota Wild winning the Series 4 games to 1 in the first round.
They would meet their biggest rivals in the second round the Detroit Redwings. The Blackhawks would take game one 4-1 but then things got hard for the Blackhawks losing the next thee games frustrating the Blackhawks taking a 3-1 series lead.
Toews was frustrated he wasn't scoring and the team wasn't winning, would get calmed by teammate Brent Seabrook.
The Blackhawks luck would change winning both games five and six to force game seven winner take all game seven.
Game seven would be very tight game with both teams playing not to lose in a tight scoring game. With the game tied 1-1 Blackhawks defenceman Niklas Hjalmarsson would appear to score the series winning goal.
However, the goal was called back as the officials called the play dead. This could of caused the Blackhawks to becomes unhinged, but they kept their composure. The defenceman that helped turn the series around was Brett Seabrook who would score the overtime winner sending the Blackhawks to the Western Conference Finals.
The Blackhawks would end up moving on beating the Boston Bruins to become 2013 Stanley Cup Champions.
