'A Rebuild Does Not Have to Mean Losing Every Game'' Luke Richardson Comments on Blackhawks Home Opening Win
Luke Richardson has had nothing but a high praising personality since coming to the Chicago Blackhawks when he was signed in the offseason, many questioned why the Blackhawks did not go after the big-named coaches on the market such as John Tortorella, Barry Trotz or Bruce Cassidy? Sadly Trotz was no where close to interested when asked to coach the Blackhawks, and the Hawks coaching options were getting slim and slimmer as the preseason quickly approached.
The Blackhawks interviewed multiple coaches and also were also rumoured to be hiring a big name, the rumours cleared when the Blackhawks announced on social media that they have hired Luke Richardson, a individual who took the Montreal Canadiens to the Eastern Conference finals making franchise history since the early 2000's.
Richardson has been praised by many of his players since arriving in Chicago and it's for good reasoning, one being Richardson giving fans more hope when he stated ''We do not have to lose throughout a rebuild, let's win''.
