With the speculation that Chicago Blackhawks star Patrick Kane had played his last game as a Chicago Blackhawk, another team made a major announcement.
Kane has been in trade discussion ever since the off-season, and has been deemed as a target by the Vegas Golden Knights this past week.
Ironically after that news broke the Golden Knights General Manager Kelly McCrimmon would place captain Mark Stone on Long-term injured reserve, which freed up $9.5 million in cap space...
Now as the old saying goes when there's smoke there's fire, and there's definitely fire here. The Golden knights have $9.5 million dollars of house money to spend and they can now acquire Patrick Kane, if Kane decides to waive his no-trade clause.
Although this doesn't guarantee Kane is heading to Vegas, Elliotte Friedman would reveal that he thinks Kane could head to the Edmonton Oilers as well. Either way Kane has some nice options playing alongside Jack Eichel or Connor McDavid, either of those options are very exciting as a hockey fan.
