After the Chicago Blackhawks building a dynasty including winning 3 Stanley cups in five years those days seem to be long gone.
After another year of not making the playoffs the Chicago Blackhawks core is about to getting blown up. This includes 2016 Draft pick Alex Debrincat. Despite Debrincat scoring 41 goals and 37 assists this season for Chicago it's believed that The Blackhawks General Manager Kyle Davidson isn't interested in signing Debrincat long term.
It's believed the Blackhawks think Debrincat's asking price is too high in their opinion. The 24 year old Debrincat is in the final year of his current contract paying him $6,400,000. According to the Athletic Debrincat will likely be traded this summer if not he will be dealt by the NHL trade deadline.
Where to is the question? It's believed the Philadelphia Flyers put in a HEAVY offer to Chicago, and other teams are willing to fork up a lot to acquire DeBrincat.
