Fighting in the sport of hockey seems to be becoming extinct. With each passing year, the NHL and their junior ranks are trying to eliminate fighting from the game. The goal is to transition to a gentler game with more focus on scoring and skill rather than brawn and fists.

However, some minor leagues, like the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, clearly have not adopted this policy. Two goaltenders decided to drop their gloves and settle their score while the Flin Flon Bombers were playing against the Iron Horse Kindersley Klippers.

Kenneth Marquardt of the Bombers and Logan Faulk of the Klippers believed a fight was necessary to engage the crowd and resolve their issues.

The fight was very brief. Marquardt connected with Faulk's face with his first swing, and both players dropped to the ice like a bag of pucks. They quickly got back up, and Marquardt tried to further engage the crowd by throwing his arms around as he skated off the ice.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the fight, but it certainly achieved its goal, as the crowd went berserk.
