The Chicago Blackhawks have had one heck of a struggling season, just breaking their eight game losing streak the other night- thankfully doing so on Pat Foleys last game as a Chicago Blackhawk. Patrick Kane has had one heck of a season himself despite the Chicago Blackhawks deep struggle, producing more assists than he has within the last few years on the Chicago Blackhawks top line of DeBrincat on left wing, Dylan Strome centering with Patrick Kane on right wing.

There has been plenty of chit chat on the topic of Patrick Kane possibly being moved/traded, as well as himself making it quite clear in interviews he is not commenting on his future with the Chicago Blackhawks after this rough season he has had. The New York Rangers and Colorado Avalanche were two teams that were confirmed by NHL reporters that contacted the Chicago Blackhawks in regards to the Blackhawks star forward.

Kyle Davidson is planned to do a full proper rebuild, and a proper one is not in works if you have two $10.5 million dollar contracts taking away a huge chunk of the teams cap.

The New York Rangers make a lot of sense, with Patrick Kane's old and current best friend and former Blackhawk Artemi Panarin. Patrick Kane has also said these exact words when a reported asked him "How would you like to play with Artemi Panarin again?"

Kane:
"Yeah i would obviously love to, but that would take a lot for that to happen"

That was earlier on this NHL season, and since another team has been in talk with the Chicago Blackhawks regarding Patrick Kane- but the team backed away.

The Buffalo Sabres contacted the Chicago Blackhawks, but stated the asking price was way too high for their liking. Kane, being born in Buffalo and cheering for the Sabres growing up seems like a solid home to finish his last few seasons in the NHL with as they have rebuilt/re-tooled and have a great core as of now. But is it the right fit for Patrick Kanes "win now" mentality?
