If you thought the Chicago Blackhawks off-season of losing a superstar like Alex DeBrincat could get any worse, you thought wrong and it sure has...

Alex DeBrincat was traded to the Ottawa Senators for a severely underwhelming return, to the point where the Blackhawks nearly received more value when trading away Kirby Dach to the Montreal Canadiens.

The trades that were made, and the rumours swirling in regards to the only superstar left in Chicago (Patrick Kane) clearly exemplify the rough rebuild the Blackhawks fan base and roster is in for.

A rebuild cannot be done without highly skilled prospects, and it takes a good management team to draft those prospects, or make moves to acquire them. The Blackhawks #1 prospect at the moment is forward Lukas Reichel, and a few spots behind is Colton Dach, brother of Kirby. Reichel and Dach are both coming off dominant performances for their respective teams, and have been participating at the Blackhawks rookie showcase.

The two teamed up on a line together and looked outstanding, until some really bad news hit..

Lukas Reichel was hit from behind, causing him to go head first into the boards. The opposing player only received a 2-minute ''minor'' penalty, thankfully Reichel got up on his own two feet, but would then head to the locker room for further evaluations, where he then would not return for the entire rest of the game, until a few minutes remaining..

That was not the end of it, Colton Dach would also join Reichel in the teams locker room, unlike Reichel that returned with just minutes left, Dach was in their for the entirety of the game.
