The Chicago Blackhawks have just let about every fan favourite go as of late, Alex DeBrincat, Brandon Hagel and even Eddie Olczyk the Blackhawks commentator. Sadly Pat Foley, the iconic voice of the Blackhawks for many years announced his retirement from the sport of hockey. Fans thought ''Well, at least we still have Eddie O in the broadcast booth''.. Until the franchise could not come to a financial agreement on a new contract for Olczyk, and he decided to take his abilities elsewhere, being the new voice of the Seattle Kraken.

The loss of Eddie Olczyk seriously takes a toll on the viewers for each game and even a morale hit to the fan base, but fans can expect a Blackhawks legend to take over, and to be able to listen to a whole aspect of the Blackhawks game this upcoming season..

Any guesses on who the Blackhawks are partaking in adding to their broadcast team, to replace Eddie Olczyk's spot??

Blackhawks writer himself Ben Pope did a excellent job at revealing who the Hawks are pursuing to be their next TV analyst on NBC Sports Chicago, and fans should be quite happy to hear...

The Blackhawks are pursuing Patrick Sharp to be their TV analyst on NBCSCH, though it's unclear whether he'd be the full-time analyst or share the job. Before Eddie Olczyk's departure for the Kraken's booth, radio analyst Troy Murray was expected to fill in when Olczyk was working a TNT game. Sharp moved his family to Connecticut, so if he declines the full-time job, Murray could figure prominently in the team's plans.
