BREAKING: Ex-Chicago Blackhawks Alex DeBrincat Trade is Down to Two Teams
The Ottawa Senators are nearing a trade involving restricted free agent Alex DeBrincat, who desires a departure from the team.
According to a Sportsnet insider, the Detroit Red Wings and the New York Islanders are the remaining contenders for DeBrincat's acquisition. Other interested teams, like the Vegas Golden Knights, have dropped out of the running.
Despite tensions between the team and the player's agent, a resolution seems imminent. DeBrincat had a solid season with the Senators, but his point production declined compared to his time with the Chicago Blackhawks.
