Fresh off winning his second straight gold medal at the World Juniors for Team Canada, Shane Wright was involved in one of the biggest trades in OHL history.
Wright was sent back to junior hockey by the Seattle Kraken to further his development after Wright appeared to not be NHL ready yet. Wright had just one goal and 1 assist in 8 games with the Kraken.
Now Wright has a chance to win the biggest trophy in the Canadian Hockey League, the Memorial Cup. Wright was traded to the Windsor Spitfires last night as they look to compete with the London knights for the best in the Western Conference.
