The NHL news department this week has been quite dead, until the Carolina Hurricanes notified teams in regards to trading defensemen Ethan Bear, Bear, who is a 25 year old defensemen was drafted in 2015 and quickly had his development shifted while playing with a underwhelming Edmonton Oilers roster.

Since, Bear was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes and played one full season, his second season in a Canes jersey was cut short due to the amount of ice time the Hurricanes could offer, as there blue line was already set.

Two days ago (October 26th) NHL insiders Pierre LeBrun and Elliot Friedman revealed Ethan Bear was being actively shopped by the Carolina Hurricanes, and today, a trade has officially been made, Ethan Bear has been traded to a unexpected western conference team any guesses before the reveal?

Reveal the official Ethan Bear:

Ethan Bear has been traded to one of the worst teams in the NHL, who only have put up one win all season, the Vancouver Canucks.
