Blackhawks Fall Short of Making Franchise History in Loss to Oilers
The Blackhawks took the ice against the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday night with the chance to make history.
Coming in to the game, the Blackhawks started the year 3-0-0 at home for the first time since 2009-10. A win last night would've set the franchise's record for best start at home while playing at the United Center.
Unfortunately, the Blackhawks lost in heartbreaking fashion after a last minute Oiler goal to make the score 6-5.
The Blackhawks did tie the record of most consecutive home wins to begin the year at the UC, but breaking it would have been nice.
