Multiple sources have confirmed that Barry Trotz has turned down the biggest coaching contract in NHL history to avoid signing with the team who offered, the contract was over $7,000,000!!!
Barry Trotz has been linked to multiple teams as of late including the Boston Bruins, Dallas Stars as well as the Nashville Predators after he just bought a multi-million dollar home in Nashville.
It seems as if a new team came into play just last week after the Philadelphia Flyers confirmed that they have narrowed down their coaching canidates to two of the biggest names on the market, Barry Trotz and John Tortoella.
The Flyers announced that they have offered John Tortorella their head coaching position and are waiting for his signature to make it official, leaving Barry Trotz out of the picture and the question as to why it did not work out with him?
Well. clearly Trotz has 0 desire to coach in Philly as he turned down the BIGGEST COACHING CONTRACT in NHL history from the Flyers!! $7,000,000 plus!
There is also rumours of Trotz willing to become management somewhere as in a general manager or front office role, more info to come..
