As the off season is approaching closer and closer day by day, the Blackhawks and newly hired general manager Kyle Davidson are one step closer to making large moves preparing for their "full rebuild stage".

To kick things off before the off-season has even opened, Kyle Davidson has announced that anybody on the Blackhawks aside from Kane, Toews and Jones are all available and offers will be heard on them, yes.. you heard that right (DeBrincat, Dach, Kurashev, Lafferty) EVERYONE aside from the big 3 stated who have NMC (no-movement clause's) in place.

NHL insider has also revealed he believes Blackhawks star forward Alex DeBrincat will be out the door before this season starts, and if not he went as far as saying he's 100% confident DeBrincat will be dealt before the 2023-24 season arrives (the season after next year).

Where are DeBrincat's options for a new home? Well it has been revealed that 4 teams have shown interest, the New York Islanders, Philadelphia Flyers, Los Angeles Kings and the New Jersey Devils with their current 1st rounder which is second overall. Some may think DeBrincat can bring in a top 3 draft pick such as the Devils, but this newly rumoured deal gives Blackhawks fans more of a idea of a possible return for the superstar forward.

The Rangers get:

-Alex DeBrincat
-50% of his salary retained (which is not very necessary)

The Blackhawks receive:

-Former second overall pick Kappo Kakko
-Alexander Georgiev (goaltender who is backing up Shesterkin, highly anticipated prospect)
-Brennan Othmann (prospect)
-1st round pick 2023

This is a rumoured deal, but it gives us a rough estimate on what kind of value the Blackhawks are able to bring in, Elliot Friedman also reporting the Blackhawks have the opportunity to "hurt a team" if they make a move for DeBrincat and Davidson can fleece another team for a change, if not- you have DeBrincat for the next 8 years or more. There is really no wrong answer.
