The Leonard-Smith-Perrault line has been impressing many as they continue to score the most points in four games. Smith, who is currently the center for two soon-to-be first-round draft picks, has gained attention after his outstanding performance in the World Juniors. Previously ranked in the bottom 5-11, publications have now changed their tune, placing him at 6-0.
Smith's excellent playmaking abilities and hockey IQ have been on full display, overshadowing some lackluster play in the USHL/USDP. He may be available for the Hawks in the #3rd, #4th, or #5th draft spot, and if so, Kyle Davidson should not miss the opportunity to draft Smith. He has the potential for a quick path to the NHL.
