Blackhawks Gain Permission To Speak With Two Coaching Candidates
The Chicago Blackhawks head coach search is slowly getting larger and larger, from rumors to Barry Trotz declining to speak with the team due to the rebuild taking place to now confirming the permission to speak to two new candidates- Blackhawks fan can expect Derek King to be out the door shortly.
The two new candidates that the Blackhawks have reached out for permission to speak to are Montreal Canadiens assistant coach Luke Richardson, and also Vancouver Canucks assistant coach Brad Shaw.
Luke Richardson has coached for three different teams in the NHL and has served as a temporary coach for the Montreal Canadiens for several games. Richardson, 53, is not being held back by the Canadiens to branch off and receive interviews- his first of many is with the Blackhawks.
Brandon Shaw is 58 years of age and has spent the last fifteen years coaching in the NHL, last season he joined the Vancouver Canucks.
