Tonight, the Chicago Blackhawks will take on the Los Angeles Kings in Los Angeles. Tonight's game marks the beginning of a short two-game trip to the west coast and also begins the Blackhawks annual father's trip.
The last time the Hawks and the Kings faced off was November 3rd at the United Center, where the Blackhawks won the game in overtime thanks to a goal from Jonathan Toews, who has been tearing it up to start the season.
The Blackhawks currently have a 5-5-2 record through 12 games played and are currently sitting in 4th place in the Wild Card standings. The Kings are 8-6-1 through 15 games played and are currently 3rd in the Pacific Division.
Some key players to watch in this one are Jonathan Toews and Caleb Jones. Toews has 3 goals and 4 points in his last 5 games while Jones has 3 assists in his last 5 games. A key player to watch for the Kings will be Kevin Fiala, who has 4 assists and 5 points in his last 5 games and has looked dangerous with the puck to start the season.
Both teams were very evenly matched last time they met so I would expect another physical, low-scoring type of game tonight in Los Angeles.
