It was an ugly one in the UC last night. The Hawks were not in this game at all, besides maybe a couple minutes after they scored to make it 3-1 early in the 2nd.

They managed to outshoot the Rangers, 30-26, but Soderblom had a tough day in office. As a result, the Blackhawks decided to send Soderblom down to the AHL, but that may not be just because of his tough game last night.

In a corresponding move, the Blackhawks activated Alex Stalock off of the IR from his concussion.

With two veteran guys in Stalock and Mrazek, the Blackhawks are going to elect to allow Soderblom to develop in the AHL, unless there are injuries...which there have been plenty of this year.

In last night's loss, Jarred Tinordi took a puck to the face and immediately fell down with blood pooling around him. He left the game and did not return, and it was later announced that he suffered a facial fracture from the puck to the face.

With the fracture, Tinordi has been placed on IR, which opens the door for Isaak Phillips to get some playing time in the NHL, as he has been recalled this morning. Phillips has been sensational down in the AHL this year, so it is good for him to get a shot.

Here are the full details of the moves:
