Borje Salming's Brother Reveals What His Final Wish Was
Borje Salming recently passed away after a long and difficult battle with ALS.
The Hall of Fame struggled much of the last few years of his life trying to fight the disease, but it ultimately became too much for his body to handle.
While his health was declining, Salming was invited to participate in the NHL's Hall of Fame festivities this past month. It was up in the air of whether or not Salming was fit to travel.
Ultimately, Salming's doctor cleared him to travel to Toronto to participate in the festivities.
During his return to Toronto, the Maple Leafs honored Salming with an emotional tribute.
Sadly, Salming's life would come to an end just a couple of weeks later.
Well, according to Hockey Beast, Salming's brother, Stig, came out and said that traveling to Toronto was Salming's final wish.
He supposedly wanted the chance to say goodbye to the NHL community because he knew his health was declining.
It truly is a sad situation and we are keeping Salming's family and friends in our thoughts and prayers.
