NHL Broadcaster Could Be Disciplined After Body Shaming Pat Maroon on LIVE TV - Maroon Responds
There have been situations in the past where broadcasters were caught saying inappropriate things on a hot mic.
There have also been other times where broadcasters just blatantly say things that they shouldn't. Well, Bruins' broadcaster, Jack Edwards, had one of those blatantly inappropriate moment.
This is a low class act from Edwards, who has typically been respected around the broadcasting and hockey industries.
There are supposedly some angry Lightning fans who are calling for the dismissal of Edwards following this incidence, but I don't know if this is a fire-worthy situation.
Yeah, he shouldn't have said it, but there have been people to say worse things and didn't lose their jobs. I would assume if he receives a punishment it will be a brief suspension or something along those lines.
In all honesty Maroon doesn't even look like a big individual, so I guess Edwards in comparing him to skinny models.
Maroon fought back, but he took the high road with it and has publicly stated the following:
