Canadiens Fans Trash Kirby Dach For This Reason After His First Game in Montreal
The Chicago Blackhawks headed into this years off-season with a few worries on their hand, the worries in place were surrounding star forwards Patrick Kane and Alex DeBrincat's futures with the organization. The Blackhawks fan was so focused on the possibility of losing DeBrincat and Kane at the same time, that the Kirby Dach trade talks went underneath the radar.
Dach was reportedly being shopped since the start of last season, but the news was never released publicly- until he was moved, Kevin Weekes revealed the Hawks were trying to get rid of him for a long time. They finally did, and it was in a trade bundle on draft night, take a look at the official deal below:
The Chicago Blackhawks received the precious 13th overall pick which was used to draft Frank Nazar, a star in the making. It has only been nearly two months since Dach was traded to the Canadiens, and Habs fans have quickly turned on Dach just after one game.
It appears everything Blackhawks fans critiqued about Dach is what Canadiens fans are frustrated with, the lack of effort, his 6 foot 4 body not being put to proper use, lazy forechecking and more.
See what the Canadiens fans had to say about Dach's first game:
