Connor Bedard sounds off in latest interview on Tuesday
The Chicago Blackhawks faithful have been informed today that Patrick Kane is part of the Detroit Red Wings' Yzerplan.
As a player, Patrick Kane has only ever played for one franchise his entire career until last season.
Despite his age, the 35-year-old winger is undoubtedly a key piece of the Wings' future.
In addition to knowing Alex DeBrincat, his familiarity with the Winger will no doubt be helpful, as the Wings picked up Patrick Kane for $2.75 million.
As a result of this latest development, Blackhawks fans and even Connor Bedard are stunned.
Kane going to an original 6 rival is no doubt odd, and Bedard mentioned how it must be for not only fans, but Kane himself as well as he heads to Detroit.
Connor Bedard on Patrick Kane joining Detroit: "It's weird just from being a fan growing up and seeing the success they had and winning those Cups and everything. It's weird for every hockey fan not seeing them in Chicago ... it's probably weird for him, too." #Blackhawks
Last season in 72 games split between the Chicago Blackhawks and New York Rangers, the winger posted 21 goals and 36 assists for 57 points.
Steve Yzerman is getting him on a bargain and the Wings hope he will add to their goals of contending soon.
