Phillip Jack Brooks, well-known in WWE circles as CM Punk, decided to return to the ring on Monday Night RAW for the first time since 2014. The setting was in Nashville, TN, where the 45-year-old native of Chicago, IL, chose to tease the fans with a quick comment about the Chicago Blackhawks.
As he attempted to energize the crowd with his monologue, he shared his love for the Blackhawks while being in the Predators' arena. The crowd, which included many Nashville Predators fans, was not spared from his banter.
A lifelong fan of the Chicago Blackhawks, he relished taunting them with boos and jeers throughout the entire building. Notably, Nashville hosted the 2023 NHL Entry Draft, where the Blackhawks selected Connor Bedard as the first overall pick.
Both mixed martial arts and pro wrestling have been integral parts of his life from 1999 through 2014. It seems that he will remain with the WWE for the foreseeable future, as he explained to everyone that he is home and that the WWE is where he belongs.
