The Blackhawks currently have a pretty deep prospect pool when it comes to defenseman, most are still developing but let's take a look on what their blue line could look like come the 2025 season as that's when most will be developed.

There's not much doubt that Kevin Korchinski, Alex Vlasic and Wyatt Kaiser will become full timers in the NHL someday, but then there is Isaak Phillips, Ian Mitchell, Ethan Del Mastro, Nolan Allan, Louis Crevier, Alec Regula, Jakub Galvas, Filip Roos and Sam Rinzel who all have more of a slim chance making it and the Blackhawks hope they can develop better than they have.

Kevin Korchinski is only 18 and currently plays in the WHL with the Seattle Thunderbirds, he has 40 points in 30 games, 35 of them coming as assists. This year he went to represent his country at the U20 World Juniors playing with Canada where he would get 4 points in 7 games.

Korchinski was drafted seventh overall in this past years draft with the draft selection the Blackhawks got in return for trading away Alex DeBrincat.

Rinzel is the one out of that group that has the best chance making it to the NHL but only time will tell how he develops. I'm not sold that he will make it to the NHL by 2025 though it might come later in the future as both Seth Jones and Connor Murphy are signed until the 2025-26 season and there's a chance that both will still be with the Blackhawks.

The Blackhawks have some promising prospects coming up in a couple years and if you are a Blackhawks fan this is something to be excited about.
