During a preseason game between the Arizona Coyotes and Anaheim Ducks last Wednesday night, Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras was knocked down by Jan Jenik. Jenik hit Zegras in the middle of the ice as he was moving forward with the puck. A fight broke out after the hit. Zegras was out for the night. Even though Jenik's hit was clean, I don't think something like that should happen in a preseason game.
Yesterday, Anaheim Ducks head coach Dallas Eakins told the media that the medical staff has sent Zegras for re-evaluation and in-depth testing. Eakins comment has Ducks fans concerned about the health of their young star.
We all hope Zegras makes a speedy and full recovery. Trevor Zegras is a young star in the league and brings visibility to the NHL. Let's hope he can score a michigan against the Coyotes when he's back this season.
