Duncan Keith is regarded as one of the best defensemen in the history of the Chicago Blackhawks organization and has done it all on the ice - winning multiple cups and providing the number one defenseman that the Hawks relied on for many years.
Well, he retired recently, and many thought he was done with the NHL part of his career, but news emerged lately, ensuring fans that the longtime Blackhawks defenseman will still be around, just off the ice.
Sportsnet's Mark Spector broke the news that Keith would be signing a contract with the Edmonton Oilers, to serve as a player development coach within the organization.
Keith, 39, played his final season in a long, illustrious career with the Edmonton Oilers, who hold the distinction of being the only NHL team, other than the Blackhawks that Keith has ever suited up for.
Good luck Duncan, all the best to you and your family.
Fans. What do you think of the new position for Keith?
