End of Game Brawl Breaks Out Between The Tampa Bay Lighting & New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden
The conference final between the Tampa Bay Lighting and the New York Rangers has been quite dull in some aspects, with low scoring games featuring the top two Vezina Trophy runner-up goaltenders, New York Rangers' Igor Shesterkin and Tampa Bay Lighting's Andrei Vasilevskiy.
Despite the low-scoring, slower-paced games, an incident happened, resulting in numerous scrums between the two teams, both of whom had tough people on their side.
The series was tied at two a piece during Thursday's game 5, and the game was relatively clean until Jacob Trouba did what Jacob Trouba has been doing...intentionally injuring guys with his flying elbow, which has gone unnoticed by the NHL player safety committee.
Tensions were at an all-time high. After this attempted hit, the game came down to the final seconds, and Kucherov ripped an unnecessary shot on Igor Shesterkin, putting the New York Rangers up 2 goals with seconds remaining. The New York Rangers didn't like it, and a brawl ensued.
