Former Blackhawk and Icehog is Leaving The NHL to Play Where??
Former Chicago Blackhawk and Rockford ice hog Ian McCoshen is leaving North-America to pursue a career in Finland, it seems as if it is a trend nowadays for players who are under-appreciated at the NHL and AHL level to take their talents elsewhere, and if all goes well to give the player a confidence boost to return to North American hockey in the future.
Puck Empire revealed the news:
''lan McCoshen (@ian_mccoshen12) has signed a one-year deal with Porn Assat in Finland. McCoshen, 27, was the 31st overall pick by Florida in
2013 He played 60 games in the NHL, all with Florida, from 2016-2019, before bouncing around to various other organization's like Chicago, Minnesota, and Las Vegas, only playing for their farm teams.''
''McCoshen was the second player to ever play in the NHL from Anaheim, California. He will hope to rebound in Europe and potentially make a return to North America in 2023-24.''
