Two days after the NHL's Trade Deadline Day, the Chicago Blackhawks jump straight into a 3-game stretch down the west coast. Coming up first is a meeting with the Anaheim Ducks in California.

NHL Trade Deadline Day: The Blackhawks were expecting plenty of movement come the deadline, after new GM Kyle Davidson came in swinging promising a rebuild. To start,
Brandon Hagel was sent to the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for Boris Katchouk and
Taylor Raddysh. On Monday, with 3 p.m. EST looming,
Marc-Andre Fleury was traded to the Minnesota Wild for a 2022 Conditional 1st Round Pick. Shortly after, it was announced that the Calgary Flames would receive Ryan Carpenter for a 2024 5th Round Pick. Both Katchouk and Raddysh were able to debut on Sunday, Raddysh having a two-point night with 1 goal and 1 assist.
On the Road: The Blackhawks come into this game with an 11-16-4 road record. The team will be looking to snap their two-game loss streak as they come into the Honda Center. The team flew into Anaheim and held practice yesterday in preparation.
Movements:
Jake McCabe (D) took a maintenance day after having a total of 22:51 minutes on the ice on Sunday.
Collin Delia (G) and
Reese Johnson (C) were also recalled from the AHL's Rockford Icehogs.
Tyler Johnson (C) was on the ice today which is hopeful news after entering concussion protocol following the Ottawa Senators game on March 12.
A Look Towards Anaheim: The Ducks are finishing off a short homestretch after hosting the Florida Panthers on Friday, March 18m, and the Nashville Predators on Monday, March 21. They are looking to snap a 6-game losing streak, after losing to the Predators 3-6 on Monday.
After the Draft Deadline, they acquired
Urho Vaakanainen and John Moore from the Boston Bruins,
Zach Aston-Reese and Dominik Simon from the Pittsburgh Penguins, as well as Evgenii Dadonov from the Vegas Golden Knights. However, due to some confusion over Dadonov's NTC, this transaction may be voided.
Anaheim has a record of 2-6-2 in their last 10.
