The Hawks drafted a promising First Round this year, drafting Kevin Korchinski at #7, Frank Nazar at #13, and Sam Rinzel at #25. And, one of these players had a phenomenal night.
Sam Rinzel was drafted #25 overall in this year's draft. He is 18 years old and is from Chanhassen, Minnesota. He is 6'4 and weighs 176 pounds. He was drafted out of Chaska High, and had 38 points this season.
He plays for the Waterloo Black Hawks, and it was their third game of the season. In his last game, he has two points this year and has racked up two assists. If he keeps doing well in Waterloo, and he keeps improving in camp, you could see him enter the team after he leaves the University of Minnesota.
Sam Rinzel was the «Dark Horse» of the draft, and could be a promising defenseman.
