HIGHLIGHTS: Finland Defeats Canada in 3v3 Overtime to Win GOLD
The two IIHF Hockey powerhouses faced off for a afternoon start of 1:20 EST for the championship gold medal.
Although you may not be able to tell the rosters are stacked on both ends due to Finland having very few NHL prospects/players, their 'Fins' will be exciting to watch.
The first period went by and it was a scoreless one, a rare occurrence for both teams-colliding to shut each other down.
Dylan Cozen broke the ice on the power play for Canada making it 1-0 with this beautiful shot home.
Finland heads to a 5 on 3 power play as a Finnish player high sticker himself but they called it on the Canadian. Grandlund ties the game for the Fins. Canadas number one goaltender was also injured off of that goal and is now out.
Grandlund proceeds to score again, Finland taking the lead 2-1.
Armia scores to extend the fins lead by 2, it is now 3-1 Finland.
Canada quickly tied the game up to head to overtime until the refs called Canadian
Thomas Chabot on a hook to send him to the box.
Finland proceeds to score the GOLDEN GOAL!
