Honoring a Fallen Blackhawks Legend - RIP Ab McDonald
We are officially fourteen days away from September 28th, which marks the Blackhawks first day back on the ice, in a official NHL pre-season game which will take place against the Hawks rivalry, the Detroit Red Wings. No. 14: Ab McDonald (LW, 1960-64)
After winning three consecutive Stanley Cup titles in Montreal, McDonald won a fourth in his first season with the Blackhawks in 1961 and was credited with the game-winning goal in the clincher. Across four seasons in Chicago, he produced 180 points (73 goals, 107 assists) in 265 regular-season games and 25 points (12 goals, 13 assists) in 33 postseason contests.
