One thing all hockey fan love is a good chirp, making comments in the name of gamesmanship or just a straight up diss to another player. The only problem is sometimes the player is forced to eat his words.
Last night fans had their eyes on the game between the Chicago Blackhawks and the New York Rangers, after the diss from Blackhawks Andreas Athanasiou towards Rangers captain Jacob Trouba. Athanasiou would make these comments about Trouba:
Trouba's a $8 million dollar man with 0 goals, so he has to figure out how to do something when making that much. He doesn't help his team so I guess he tries to hurt anyone he can.
- Andreas Athanasiou
Unfortunately for Athanasiou it might of been a big mistake. Last night Trouba would score his 1st of the year in a 6-3 Rangers win over the Flyers. Trouba would then turn his eyes to tonight and would score vs the Blackhawks and then would ask Athanasiou:
Hey Do you want the puck? If you don't have it I can get it for you.
Reminding you keep your words to yourself because you might have to eat them.
