Johnny Gaudreau's Agent Makes Bold Statement Regarding His Future in Calgary
The Calgary Flames had one heck of a season, a franchise high within quite some time. They proceeded to get knocked off their high horse after struggling to defeat the Dallas Stars in round one of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, they fell to the Edmonton Oilers in game seven of the battle of Alberta.
Leaving fans thinking- what's next? There teams structure is like no other, from defense to offense, from grittiness to goaltending the Flames seem as if they physically cannot get better in any positions.
A key part in the Flames best season taking place in quite some time were players stepping up and breaking through who have not really done so in the past, one of many being winger Johnny Gaudreau A.K.A «Johnny Hockey» as most call him.
Gaudreau's cap heading into last season was $6,750,000, which was quite large due to him not performing in the past. But as most do on contract expiring seasons, he turned it up to another level crushing his career high point, goal, assist and more stats total meaning he's due for a large pay day.
Can the Flames pay somebody like Gaudreau after a hot season like that? Well as of late rumors surfaced that a deal was locked in place, but Gaudreau's agent took it to the media that they are nowhere close a new contract with Calgary as well as contract negotiations being held at «there's no truth to it».
