It's safe to say November 25 has been circled on Kirby Dach's calendar since the schedule was released, a return to the United Center to face the team that drafted him.
And in a script that hockey fans dream of with the boos raining down, Dach pocketed the winning shootout goal past Arvid Soderblom to give the Canadiens a 3-2 win and provide vindication for Dach who celebrated by holding his hand up to his ear in front of the crowd, a true baller move.
Dach has certainly played like a player worthy of the No. 3 overall pick with Montreal as he has 17 points in 21 games, mainly playing right wing on the top line with studs Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield.
Good for Dach, not sure why the fans were booing him. He didn't ask out of Chicago. The organization gave up on him in an effort to rebuild. You have to feel good for him though, easy to root for a guy with a little swagger to his game.
